About This

  • Powerful Carbon Fiber Drag System – Built for big game saltwater fishing, the KastKing ReKon spinning reel delivers smooth, consistent stopping power with a premium carbon fiber drag. Sizes 2500–4000 provide up to 30 lbs of max drag, sizes 5000–6000 deliver up to 40 lbs, and the 8000 size produces an impressive 55 lbs to handle hard-fighting saltwater species.
  • Lightweight NyliTech Construction – The innovative NyliTech body provides outstanding strength while reducing weight for all-day fishing comfort. A reinforced lightweight rotor enhances durability, while the CNC-machined aluminum handle arm and oversized TPE power knob deliver secure grip, increased cranking power, and confident control. The braid-ready CNC aluminum spool offers high line capacity and eliminates the need for monofilament backing.
  • Built for Saltwater Reliability – Engineered for harsh marine environments, the ReKon features EverSeal water-resistant protection with strategically placed rubber seals to help reduce water intrusion into critical components. A seamless one-piece aluminum bail improves durability, line management, and casting consistency for dependable performance trip after trip.
  • Premium Big Game Gear System – Designed for maximum durability, the ReKon combines an HRB86 high-strength pinion gear, CNC-machined hardened brass main gear, and a stainless steel main shaft to deliver exceptional cranking power, smooth operation, and long-lasting performance against powerful saltwater fish.
  • Smooth, Powerful Retrieves – Equipped with 5+1 MaxiDur double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings for smooth, dependable operation. Optimized gear ratios maximize both speed and torque: 6.2:1 (2500–4000), 5.7:1 (5000–6000), and 5.2:1 (8000), giving anglers the ideal balance of power and efficiency for every fishing situation.
